Peter GilesPeter’s career began as a Student Engineer under the Ministry of Defence sponsored training system based at the Royal Aircraft Establishment, Farnborough.  On graduation from Loughborough University Technology Peter was posted to the Aeroplane and Armament Experimental Establishment (A&AEE) at Boscombe Down where he was responsible for ground and flight trials and engineering assessments for a wide range of fixed and rotary winged aircraft. During the period at A&AEE Peter represented the United Kingdom on international working parties for Tornado.

Since leaving the MoD in 1981, Peter has worked for a number of engineering and management consultancies carrying out a range of studies including reliability, project risk assessment, procurement and safety. The draw of a return to aviation proved too strong and in 2006 Peter decided to leave HVR to form Osprey CSL.
